Yes. Murouj Academy runs evening online Tajweed classes for men, taught one-to-one by male teachers after work in your local time. Each lesson corrects your recitation live, and your first class is a free trial.
Who are the evening Tajweed classes for?
- Men who read the Quran but are unsure of their mistakes, and want them found and fixed.
- Fathers who want to teach their sons correctly and improve their own recitation first.
- Men preparing to memorise, for whom Tajweed is the foundation.
- Beginners: if you cannot read the letters yet, start with the Qaida classes for beginners, then move to Tajweed.
Men are taught by male teachers, who teach boys and men only.
What are the evening hours?
Our teachers work to US hours, so weekday evenings in your local time are available after work. Slots are confirmed at the free trial.

What happens in a Tajweed lesson for men?
One teacher, one student, 30, 45 or 60 minutes, live on Zoom, Google Meet or Halqora, Murouj's own online classroom software, and never recorded.
- You recite a passage aloud.
- Your teacher stops you at a mistake, names the rule or the letter and models the correct sound.
- You repeat until it is right.
- A written report arrives in your WhatsApp group with what was covered and your homework.
What will I study?
The Tajweed classes course moves from letters and sounds to length, stopping and fluency, including noon sakinah and tanween, meem sakinah and madd. If you already read fluently and mainly want mistakes corrected, see Quran recitation correction. Guides: Tajweed rules for beginners and common Tajweed mistakes.
Who are the male teachers, and how are they selected?
Every teacher is a native Arabic speaker, and only the top 4% of applicants qualify. Selection has five steps: an ijazah and recitation check, a Tajweed knowledge check, a teaching skills check, an English fluency check, and a mock lesson with a team member playing the student. Some teachers hold an ijazah, and each profile states which.
