What does Quran recitation mean?
Quran recitation, or qira'ah, means reading the Quran. Learning recitation involves listening to a teacher and reciting to them, so the pronunciation is passed from teacher to student. The tradition of Quran readings traces this transmission back to the Prophet, peace be upon him.
Where can you listen to the Quran online?
You can listen through Islamic websites, YouTube and audio apps. These make it possible to hear your preferred reciter at home or wherever you have access to a recording.

Why make time for regular Quran recitation?
Regular recitation gives you time to reflect on the Quran's guidance and contemplate its meanings. Reading attentively can be a source of comfort and a way to become more familiar with its language.
The Quran includes the plea: “And forgive us, for You have power over all things.” (8) Surat Al-Tahrim.

- Reward for each letter: “Whoever reads a letter from the Book of Allah will have a good deed for it, and a good deed is multiplied by ten times. (Meem) is a letter.”
