Jesus in Islam:

The Messiah, Jesus’ son of Mary, also known as “Esau,” in ancient Hebrew, “Joshua” in Hebrew, and “Jesus” in the New Testament, is considered one of the messengers of determination. He was sent to lead the original Israelis to a new holy book, which is the Bible, and Muslims prefer to add the phrase “peace be upon him” after his name, like all the prophets, out of respect for them. Belief in Jesus (and all the prophets and messengers) is one of the pillars of faith in Islam.

Jesus in Islam name:

  •  A person’s Islam is not valid without believing in Messiah. Jesus in Islam is mentioned by his name in the Quran 25 times, while Muhammad is mentioned 4 times. The Quran mentions that Jesus was born by Maryam Bent Imran, and his birth is considered a miracle, as she conceived him while she was a virgin without human intervention, by order of Allah.
  • To support his message, Jesus could perform some miracles, such as reviving the dead and curing the blind and lepers by Allah’s will.
  • In the Islamic faith, the term “Christ” or Messiah’s Meaning is a title of honor for Jesus, the son of Mary, who is the word of Allah that he delivered to the Virgin Mary. “Worship Allah, my Lord, and your Lord.” So, they fought him, and only a few of them believed and tried to kill him, so Allah raised him to heaven, and he will return to earth, and those who believe in the One God and do not associate anyone with Him will follow him. The word “Messiah” is mentioned eleven times in the Quran.
  • In language, it is permissible to say “Jesus, son of Mary, the Messiah” by delaying the title of Christ, just as it is permissible to “Christ, Jesus’ son of Mary” by introducing the title of Christ because it is more popular.

Jesus in The Quran:

  • The Islamic heritage believed in Mary’s virginity and purity when the angel came to her announcing that a pure boy would be born from her: “He (the angel) said to her: I am only the messenger of your Lord to give you a pure boy, (Maryam) said: How will I have a boy when no human has touched me and I am not a prostitute” this was mentioned in (Surah Maryam, 19-20). The Qur’an denies any human intervention in Mary’s conception of Christ, as he was miraculously born of her.
  • The Qur’an even curses the Jews who suspected Maryam’s virginal pregnancy and falsely accused her of adultery, saying: “And their disbelief (i.e., the Jews) and their statement against Maryam is a great slander” (An-Nisa, 156). Here it should be noted that the Jewish Talmud contains many fabricated narratives and stories about Lady Mary and her son. We are ashamed to mention them here or to cite them.

Prophet Isa story:

Jesus in Islam has a different story than in Christianity. Jesus in Islam is believed to be the sun of the virgin Merry who was born without a father.

  • When Virgin Merry began to feel the pains of labor, she leaned on a palm tree, and immediately the people’s blame towards her and the accusation of her chastity and her religion sparked in her mind, so she said: I wish I had died before this situation, Allah the Almighty said:- (So the labors came to her to the trunk of the palm tree, and she said, “I wish I had died before this, and I was forgotten”.
  • and then she gave birth to Jesus – peace be upon him – and a voice came to her from under her – the voice of Jesus, peace be upon him, according to the words of Ibn Kathir and others – Do not grieve and eat from the dates and drink from the river to calm your eyes, as I was commanded to refrain from speaking to people to leave the matter to her son to respond to them, to prevent the embarrassment from His mother and the miracle is fulfilled.
  • And she had to say to everyone who met her that she vowed to the Rahman in fasting, and this fast was legitimate and copied in our law. It was not easy to imagine the psychological struggle accompanying the labor pains that were taking place in the soul of Maryam, especially when imagining her people blaming her and questioning her religion and morals, especially since she came from a pure and pious house.

Mary in The Quran:

  • Jesus in Islam is not believed to be crossed. Jesus’ paintings always picture Jesus on the cross but also picture him as a child between his mother’s arms. In Islam, we don’t believe in such pictures because it’s deprived in our religion to paint the prophets as we believe that Jesus is a prophet.
  • No book on the face of earth granted Jesus Christ – peace be upon him, his virgin mother, and his honorable family a greater honor and reverence than the Holy Quran. Honoring is the corrector for the errors, accusations, and false fabrications that were directed at Master Jesus and his pure mother by the tongues of the Jews and Christians themselves.
  • In the Holy Qur’an there is Surah Al-Imran, which is the name of the family of Christ, peace be upon him, and the word (Al) is a word addressed to the noble and kind families. While there is no name in the Holy Qur’an for the family of the Prophet of Islam, Muhammad, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him, as no Surah is bearing the name (Bani Hashem) or (Bani Abdul Muttalib), and no Surah is bearing the name (Amna Bent Wahb), the mother of the Holy Prophet, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him. blessings.
