The Arabic language holds great significance in Islam, being the language in which the Quran was revealed and the native tongue of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). This course will offer you a comprehensive understanding of the Arabic language, including its linguistics.
Standard Arabic Course Outline The Standard Arabic course is divided into 3 levels: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. Each level builds upon the knowledge and skills learned in the previous one.
Standard Arabic Beginner Level The Standard Arabic Beginner level is designed for those who have no prior knowledge of the language. In this level, you will be introduced to the Arabic alphabet, pronunciation, and basic grammar rules.
Standard Arabic Learning Objectives (Beginner Level):
- Recognize and properly write the Arabic alphabet
- Properly pronounce and understand the phonetics of the Arabic alphabet
- Understand basic grammar rules and sentence structures
Standard Arabic Intermediate Level The Intermediate level is for those who have completed the Beginner level or have a basic understanding of the language. In this level, you will learn how to form simple sentences and engage in basic conversations.
Standard Arabic Learning Objectives (Intermediate Level):
- Engage in basic conversations in Arabic
- Write short paragraphs and simple sentences in Arabic
- Understand and use common vocabulary and phrases
Standard Arabic Advanced Level The Advanced level is for those who have completed the Intermediate level or have a strong understanding of the language. In this level, you will learn advanced grammar and vocabulary, and hone your conversational skills.
Standard Arabic Learning Objectives (Advanced Level):
- Hold fluent and natural conversations in Arabic
- Read and write Arabic fluently and accurately
- Understand and use advanced grammar and vocabulary.
