## What is an intensive hifz program, and is it an online madrasa?

An intensive hifz program is Quran memorization with daily classes. In a madrasa, students follow a set daily routine of memorizing and revising with a teacher. Murouj Academy's intensive program gives you that structure online: live one-to-one classes every day, with the days, times and lesson length arranged with your family.

It is for students who want to memorize in a shorter, dedicated time, and for huffaz who want intensive revision (muraja'ah). It is not a boarding or residential school: you learn at home, in your own time zone, and women and girls learn with female teachers.

## Intensive hifz program, regular hifz course or Quran revision: which one?

All three are one-to-one with a native Arabic speaker. Your teacher confirms the right one in the free trial class.

| Course | Classes | Best for |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Online Hifz Program | 2 to 5 a week, at your pace | Steady, flexible memorization alongside school or work |
| Intensive Hifz Program | Daily | Memorizing in a shorter, dedicated time, or intensive revision |
| Quran Revision (Muraja'ah) | 2 to 5 a week | Keeping what you have already memorized |

See the [online hifz program](https://muroujacademy.com/courses/quran-memorization-course/) for flexible memorization and the [Quran revision course](https://muroujacademy.com/courses/quran-revision-murajaah/) for revision only. ## Who is this course for?

- ### Children, for parents who want a daily routine

Short daily classes build the habit, and the lesson length suits your child's age. Murouj matches the teacher.
- ### Teens and adults

A dedicated routine around school or work, with the days and times arranged with you. Men are taught by male teachers.
- ### Huffaz who want intensive revision

Daily muraja'ah with a teacher who listens to large portions and fixes what has slipped.
- ### Women and girls

Always a female teacher, in a fully private one-to-one class.

## What will you learn?

Your teacher builds a personalized curriculum from these stages, starting from your level.

1. ### Stage 1: Plan the programme
   - Reading and tajweed checked in the free trial
   - What you have memorized so far, and what you want to reach
   - A daily rhythm, lesson length and target portion agreed with your family
2. ### Stage 2: The daily class
   - Your last lesson heard first, so nothing is carried forward wrongly
   - Recent revision (sabqi) of your latest pages
   - A new lesson (sabaq), listened to and corrected
   - Long revision (manzil) in a set rotation
3. ### Stage 3: Consolidate
   - A review of the portions covered so far
   - Weak passages and look-alike verses fixed
   - The pace reviewed with you and adjusted
4. ### Intensive revision track (muraja'ah only)
   - Reciting large portions from memory, juz by juz
   - Every slip noted and worked on
   - A rotation that covers everything you have memorized

### Milestones along the way

- Keep a daily Quran routine that holds
- Memorize new portions with your teacher listening to every verse
- Revise what you know in a set rotation
- Recite from memory with correct tajweed
- Move steadily toward the portion you set, up to the whole Quran

How fast you progress depends on your starting point, age, weekly classes and practice. Your teacher sets a plan after the free trial class and reviews it with you.

## What happens in a daily hifz class?

Your teacher shapes each class around your plan. A daily class moves through four parts, all heard by your teacher.

| Part | What you do | Why it matters |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Last lesson | Recite yesterday's lesson | Fixes mistakes before they settle |
| Recent revision (sabqi) | Repeat your latest pages | Keeps new pages from fading |
| New lesson (sabaq) | Memorize a new portion | Moves you forward |
| Long revision (manzil) | Recite from your older portions in rotation | Keeps old pages firm |

Between classes, a short daily habit helps: see [how to revise the memorized Quran](https://muroujacademy.com/how-to-revise-memorized-quran/).

## How do the classes work?

- ### One-to-one, every day

Your teacher hears every lesson and every revision, so nothing slips between classes.
- ### A routine your family agrees

The days, times and lesson length are arranged with you, so the habit fits your day.
- ### Matched for you

Murouj matches a suitable teacher for your free trial class and switches if the fit is not right. Never random.
- ### Zoom, Google Meet or Halqora

Live in your time zone on Zoom, Google Meet or Halqora, Murouj's classroom software. Never recorded.

Lessons are 30, 45 or 60 minutes, with the number a week agreed when you book (see the [class plans page](https://muroujacademy.com/pricing/)).
