**Disclosure: Murouj Academy publishes this guide, and Murouj is one of the ten academies compared below.** To keep it fair, the list is not a ranking. It is ordered by one objective measure, the number of Trustpilot reviews each academy had when we checked, and every fact comes from the academy's own website or its public Trustpilot page. Where we could not find something, the table says "not stated".

**The short answer:** all ten academies below teach the Quran online, and most say they offer one-to-one lessons, female teachers and a free trial. They differ on the details that matter most to families: whether classes are strictly one-to-one, what teachers are said to hold, how long the trial is, whether prices are published, and how many independent reviews exist. Use the tables to shortlist two or three, then take a trial class with each. Our [checklist for choosing an online Quran academy](https://muroujacademy.com/how-to-choose-an-online-quran-academy/) lists the questions to ask.

*Facts last checked on 23 October 2026. Academies change their sites, so confirm anything important on their own pages before you decide.*

## How did we choose and order these academies?

We picked academies that appear in search results or AI answers for searches such as "online Quran classes" and "best online Quran classes" in North America, Europe and Australia, and whose websites we could read. Murouj Academy is included, and gets the same format and the same level of scrutiny as the rest. Two academies that also appear in results, Riwaq Al Quran and Mishkah, are left out because their websites could not be loaded when we checked, so we could not verify anything about them.

**Order:** by number of Trustpilot reviews, highest first, as shown on each academy's Trustpilot page on 23 October 2026. Academies with no Trustpilot page we could find come last, in alphabetical order. A review count says how many people have left a review. It does not measure teaching quality, and Trustpilot scores can move with a single new review.

**What we recorded:** only what the academy says about itself, or what Trustpilot shows. A claim on a website is a claim, not proof. We did not test any of the classes, and we do not repeat any academy's price figures.

## The academies, one by one

The notes below are in the same order as the tables. Each links to the page where we found the facts.

### TarteeleQuran

TarteeleQuran offers individual classes for kids and adults, and describes them as "brother to brother and sister to sister", with many female teachers. Its site mentions native Arab teachers, and also says it has non-Arab teachers. It describes teachers as university or institute graduates who are Hafiz, Qari or Alim, and does not use the word ijazah on its home page. It offers free trial lessons, publishes prices on a fees page, and has the most Trustpilot reviews in this list. Sources: [home page](https://www.tarteelequran.com/), [Trustpilot](https://www.trustpilot.com/review/tarteelequran.com).

### Tabarak Academy

Tabarak Academy says every class is private and one-to-one, and that it never places students in group classes. Female tutors are available for sisters and families with daughters. It states that its tutors carry an ijazah from Al-Azhar and also advertises ijazah study programmes for students. It offers a free one-day trial, and publishes its fees on a separate page. Sources: [home page](https://tabarakacademy.com/), [fees page](https://tabarakacademy.com/fees/), [Trustpilot](https://www.trustpilot.com/review/tabarakacademy.com).

### Online Quran Learnings

Online Quran Learnings teaches children from age 4 in live one-to-one lessons, and families can choose a male or female teacher. A female supervisor listens to every class, and parents can join any lesson. It offers a 3-day free trial with no card needed and shows a "from" monthly price on its home page. It says teachers' ID and Quran and Tajweed certificates are checked, and does not make an ijazah or native-Arabic claim on the page we read. Sources: [home page](https://www.onlinequranlearnings.com/), [Trustpilot](https://www.trustpilot.com/review/onlinequranlearnings.com).

### Quran Learning USA

Quran Learning USA offers one-to-one 30-minute classes for kids and adults with male and female teachers, and states that its teachers are certified and hold an ijazah. It offers two free trial lessons and publishes a fee table on its prices page. Support is offered in English, Arabic and Urdu. Its home page shows a 5.0 rating "from 25 reviews" without naming the platform, while Trustpilot shows 19 reviews. Sources: [home page](https://quranlearningusa.com/), [prices page](https://quranlearningusa.com/prices.html), [Trustpilot](https://www.trustpilot.com/review/quranlearningusa.com).

### Qutor

Qutor is a platform where students choose from independent Quran tutors, who set their own hourly rates and are paid directly by students. Female Quran teachers are listed, and the home page offers a 30-minute free session, with no card, to interview teachers. Because teachers are individuals, format, qualifications and teaching style depend on the tutor you pick. The home page shows a 4.5 rating from 3,745 reviews without naming the platform; its Trustpilot page shows 18 reviews. ### Murouj Academy

This is us, so read this entry with that in mind. Every Murouj class is live and one-to-one, with a personalised curriculum, and we never run group classes. Teachers are native Arabic speakers from the Arab world, including ijazah holders, and each [teacher profile](https://muroujacademy.com/teachers/) states exactly what that teacher holds. Women and girls are taught by female teachers, adult men by male teachers, and parents choose for children. Students choose their teacher through free trial classes before they commit. Every package includes a free trial class with the teacher you choose. We do not publish prices on the website: you pick a package and lesson length (30, 45 or 60 minutes), then ask on WhatsApp for the price. Our Trustpilot page has one review so far, which is far fewer than most academies here. Sources: [our pricing page](https://muroujacademy.com/pricing/), [our teachers](https://muroujacademy.com/teachers/), [Trustpilot](https://www.trustpilot.com/review/muroujacademy.com).

### Al-Azhar Classes

Al-Azhar Classes offers both one-on-one classes and small groups, and its FAQ states a maximum of three people in a class, so ask which format applies to you. Female tutors teach female students, and students can browse tutor profiles. Its site refers to learning Quran and Arabic from native speakers. It does not publish fees: they are sent by email. We could not find a free-trial statement or a Trustpilot page. Its site describes the ijazah as a chain back to the Prophet ﷺ, and has an ijazah programme in its menu, but does not say what its teachers hold. Sources: [home page](https://alazharclasses.com/), [FAQ](https://alazharclasses.com/faqs/).

### Quran In Depth

Quran In Depth describes 1-on-1 private learning and offers female Quran teachers. It describes its tutors as "Al-Azhar certified native tutors" and says its instructors hold an ijazah and degrees from Al-Azhar University. It states a "100% free trial class with no credit card required" and publishes starting rates. Its site shows a Trustpilot score and Google review figures, but we could not find a Trustpilot page to confirm a count, so we list it with the unranked academies. Sources: [home page](https://www.quranindepth.com/).

### Rahber Institute of Quran

Rahber Institute says its courses are 1-on-1, with three free trial classes and no card needed, and a choice of male or female teacher; it states it has 20+ female teachers. It says its teachers hold an ijazah, offers monthly progress reports and publishes two monthly plans. We could not find a Trustpilot page. Sources: [home page](https://rahberinstituteofquran.com/).

### Salam Campus

Salam Campus offers live one-to-one classes and states "there are no group calls". It offers qualified female tutors for sisters and girls, a free 30-minute trial class and published monthly prices. It says teachers come from Arab and non-Arab countries, and that on its Ten Qirat course the teacher holds an ijazah in each reading taught. We could not find a Trustpilot page. ## How should you use this comparison?

1. **Decide your non-negotiables first.** For many families these are one-to-one lessons, a female teacher for daughters and wives, and a teacher who is a native Arabic speaker.
2. **Shortlist two or three** that meet them on their own pages.
3. **Book a trial with each,** and ask the same questions. How a team answers in writing tells you more than a table.
4. **Ask for the full cost and terms in writing** before the trial ends, including cancellation and make-ups.
5. **Read reviews on independent platforms,** and read the recent ones. A high score from few reviews is less certain than a good score from hundreds.

If you want to try Murouj as one of your trials, the first class is free.

## Frequently asked questions

### Which online Quran academy is the best?

There is no single best academy for everyone, and this guide does not rank them. The best one for your family is the one that meets your needs on format (one-to-one or group), teacher gender, teachers' qualifications and time zone, and where the trial class goes well. Compare two or three on the same questions using our [academy checklist](https://muroujacademy.com/how-to-choose-an-online-quran-academy/).

### Is a Trustpilot review count a good guide?

It is useful but limited. A larger count means more independent opinions, but it does not measure teaching quality, and academies can invite reviews selectively. Read recent reviews, and look for specific comments about teachers and progress.

### Do all online Quran academies offer a free trial?

Most of the academies here say they do, but the length differs, from one 30-minute class to several days. Two academies did not state a trial length on the pages we read, and one did not mention a trial at all. Ask what the trial includes and whether you will meet the teacher you would study with.

### What does an ijazah mean, and does every teacher need one?

An ijazah is a formal, chain-based authorisation from a qualified teacher, certifying that the holder has mastered a body of knowledge, such as reciting the Quran, and may teach it and certify others. Not every good teacher holds one, so ask what each teacher holds, in which riwayah, and who granted it. Our guides on [ijazah versus a certificate](https://muroujacademy.com/ijazah-vs-certificate/) and [the types of ijazah](https://muroujacademy.com/types-of-ijazah/) explain more.

### Are one-to-one lessons better than group lessons?

For correcting recitation, one-to-one is usually stronger, because the teacher hears every letter you say. Groups cost less and give company. See [one-to-one vs group Quran classes](https://muroujacademy.com/one-to-one-vs-group-quran-classes/) for the trade-offs.

### How do I know the facts here are accurate?

Each academy's entry links to the page we used, and we checked all ten on 23 October 2026. If you are from one of these academies and something is wrong or out of date, write to us through our [contact page](https://muroujacademy.com/contact/) and we will check it and correct it.
