Murouj means *meadows*: places where knowledge grows. We teach the Quran online, one-to-one, with native Arab teachers, including ijazah holders.

Who we are

## What makes us different

- ### One-to-one only

Every class is live and private. Murouj Academy never runs group classes.
- ### Native Arab teachers

Every teacher is a native Arabic speaker from the Arab world.
- ### Ijazah holders on our team

Some of our teachers hold an ijazah. Each profile states exactly what that teacher holds.
- ### The right teacher for you

Women and girls learn with female teachers, men with male teachers. For children, the parent chooses.
- ### Choose through a free trial

Try a free class, meet your teacher, and commit only when it feels right. Then you stay with them.
- ### A free trial class

Your first class is a free one-to-one lesson with the teacher you choose.

How we teach

## A plan for every student

Every student follows a personalised curriculum. Your teacher checks your level in the free trial class, then builds lessons around your goals and your pace.

The Quran comes first, and we teach Arabic too. Most students stay with us for more than a year.

Qualified teachers

## What is an ijazah?

An ijazah is a formal, chain-based authorisation from a qualified teacher. It certifies that the holder has mastered a body of knowledge, such as reciting the Quran, and may teach it and certify others.

A parent or friend who knows the Quran can help you practise, but is not a certified teacher. Read more about the [types of ijazah](https://muroujacademy.com/types-of-ijazah/).
